Montblanc's '1858' line features reinterpretations of exploration-inspired 'Minerva' watches from the 1920s and '30s and this 'Iced Sea' model has a unique dial inspired by the depth and reflection of the frozen La Mer de Glace. The Maison's designers climbed the glaciers of Mont-Blanc to study the ice formations before it was recreated on the dials via a labour-intensive process that takes four times as long as standard techniques to achieve. Luminous indications, a unidirectional bezel and rubber strap make this automatic model ideal for diving.
