Moncler Genius invites fashion innovators from around the globe to offer their take on the brand’s iconic down jacket. For Palm Angels founder Francesco Ragazzi, the call to design for the project represents his career coming full circle: he worked for the famed outdoor clothing label before setting up on his own. Ragazzi’s respect for Moncler is evident – the jacket is made in their shared home country, Italy, and features the classic goose lining that makes Moncler’s coats so incomparably cosy. Then, Ragazzi’s signature streak of irreverence begins to shine through – the jacket is oversized, cuffed with varsity-style royal purple rib and crafted from wet-look black nylon for a head-swivelling on-trend finish.
