L'Epée 1839's clocks are as much objets d'art as they are innovative feats of horology. This 'Vanitas' skull is created in collaboration with Scottish artisan Ms Fiona Krüger, the motif has become her signature and she is captivated by the link between life, death and time. Limited to a run of 50, it's crafted from palladium-coated and PVD-coated brass and has a fitting skeletonised dial that reveals the workings of the calibre 2010 FK hand-wound movement. The power reserve display is integrated into the mouth, which will begin to 'yawn' around 35 days to indicate it needs winding.
