If we could pick one word to describe Mr Demna Gvasalia's tailoring for Balenciaga 's SS18 show, it would be rumpled. Not that that's a bad thing; on the contrary, the Creative Director nods to the clever construction methods employed by the house's eponymous founder. This faded red blazer is cut from virgin wool and silk-blend with classic flap pockets cleverly fitted with heavy weights so they slouch - Cristobal was known to experiment with similar techniques in his day. The louche drape, padded shoulders and full lining all give this piece a decidedly relaxed fit, so it's best with denim or causal trousers.
