The 'Datejust' was launched in 1945 to celebrate Rolex's 40th anniversary and it was the first automatic wristwatch to feature a date window, later, in 1955, a cyclops lens was added for even better visibility. Unusual for the brand in that it wasn't designed for any specific purpose, as was, for example, the 'Submariner'; it is simply a solid, no-frills three-hander that can be worn casually or formally. It boasts a 41mm case, unlike the significantly smaller 36mm of older 'Datejust' models, and features a smooth bezel and oyster bracelet, with Roman numeral markers on a slate dial. It's also water-resistant to 100 metres. Pre-owned watches have a 24-month warranty from Watchfinder & Co. in conjunction with any remaining manufacturer's warranty. All pre-owned watches are also meticulously inspected by Watchfinder & Co. in house experts and come with a letter of authenticity.
