In 1786, a brigantine carrying a cargo of hides sank in Plymouth Sound, on its way from St Petersburg to Genoa. They were restored by Mr George Cleverley , and legend has it that the first piece he made from the cross-grain leather was a pair of shoes for HRH Prince Charles. Designed to be worn with an 18mm or 20mm watch, this strap is handmade from the material, backed with a supple bottle-green kidskin and tipped with a polished silver buckle. - - Brown cross-grain leather - Silver buckle fastening - Comes in a presentation box - Compatible with 18mm/ 20mm watches - Made in England- For Men.
