Laureus Sport For Good Foundation is a charity dedicated to helping children in disadvantaged areas by harnessing the power of sports. Since 2005, the charity has been generously supported by IWC, who makes a limited edition timepiece in Laureus' honour every year. Traditionally, these collector-friendly watches have vivid blue dials—Laureus' “colour of hope”—and feature a caseback engraving of the winning entry from the charity's children's drawing competition. This is a fine piece from the 2015 edition: a beautiful Portuguese chronograph with an in-house automatic flyback movement (calibre 89361), boasting an hours and minutes totaliser at 12 o'clock. The engraving shows the winning submission by 16-year-old Masha Nikulina from Udmurtia, Russia, on the theme of “time to play”.
