Needles founder and designer Keizo Shimizu says its signature butterfly logo is inspired by Steve McQueen’s tattoo in the 1973 drama film Papillon . Embroidered with the emblem throughout, these jeans have been made in Japan from 13oz. indigo denim and cut in a classic straight-leg fit. Notice how the front pockets are slightly updated.
