The Omega Speedmaster, also known as the legendary “Moonwatch”, is one of the most iconic and distinguished collections ever made. It is best known for its work with NASA as the officially sanctioned chronograph for use on the Moon. The Speedmaster went on to be used not just on the Moon, but in many other missions both in space and on Earth. Despite all this, the watch was never built with spaceflight in mind. Instead, it was launched in 1957 with sportsmen and drivers as the target audience. This Speedy harks back to the early days with its glorious faux-patina broad arrow design, and features the brand's superb calibre 9300, the very first in Omega's family of in-house co-axial chronographs.
