Introduced as a sports and racing chronograph in 1957, the 'Speedmaster' perfectly complemented Omega's title as official timekeeper of the Olympic games, something it still holds today. It's also known as the 'Moonwatch' thanks to NASA's use of them throughout the Apollo missions, it was the first timepiece worn on the moon in 1969. The watch is driven by the OMEGA Co-Axial Master chronometer calibre 3861, which powers the small seconds sub-dial, 30-minute recorder and 12-hour recorder, along with the central chronograph function. Pre-owned watches have a 24-month warranty from Watchfinder & Co. in conjunction with any remaining manufacturer’s warranty.
