Tricker's

Joseph Tricker set up as a shoemaker in Northampton in 1829, and since 1904 the company has made its Goodyear-welted shoes and boots at the same factory on St Michael's Road. By the 1920s its heavy country boots were the choice of farmers and estate owners; the Stow boot and the Bourton brogue remain the house signatures, and Tricker's has held a royal warrant since 1989. In 2026 James Fayed and Roberto Menichetti, chairman and creative director of Turnbull & Asser, bought a majority stake, and Menichetti now designs for both houses.
