Seoul South Korea

2010

From its humble beginnings as an underground, fashion insider staple to being featured on screens everywhere thanks to K-Pop superstar boy group BTS, Korean streetwear label Thisisneverthat is marked by its simple logo and clever design. Founded in 2010 by designers Cho Nadan, Park Inwook, and Choi Jonkyu, the brand was only top of mind for people in the know in the Seoul fashion scene, namely artists, select celebrities with ties in fashion, and fashion abettors. In 2018, the fashion scene was taken by storm by the brand's first ever runway show, and for the first time, insider information and style standards were made known public. Marked by streetwear mainstays, such as oversized silhouettes, neutral colors, splashes of plaid, ubiquitous logos, and tiny sunglasses, Thisisneverthat is growing to be a worthy competitor of Western brands such as Supreme, using the same approach to streetwear yet achieving a completely different, stylish end.
