Napapijri

Giuliana Rosset founded Napapijri in Aosta in 1987, taking the name from napapiiri, Finnish for the Arctic Circle. It began with bags for Alpine travel before turning to outerwear in 1990 with the Skidoo, a lightweight, weatherproof anorak that remains its signature, Norwegian flag and all. VF Corporation, owner of The North Face and Timberland, has owned the brand since 2004.
