Co-founded in 2012 by Tobias and Ingrid Cox, British men's footwear brand MULO takes the classic and reinterprets it into the contemporary space. Aiming to elevate the run-of-the-mill espadrille—a shoe worn by Tobias as he sailed across the world—and redesign it with versaility in mind, the brand has expanded into sneakers, loafers, and slippers, all designed to traverse the seasons they were originally made for. Starting the process with design in London, MULO proceeds with sourcing only the best materials from all over the world, and producing at a small factory in Portugal—all in the effort to maintain quality and craftsmanship.
