Folk

Scottish designer Cathal McAteer founded Folk in London in 2000 to make what the label calls 'style without drama': everyday clothes lifted by subtle, sometimes playful details. Textured knits, soft jackets, relaxed trousers and its own shoes make up a collection that is mostly menswear, with a full women's line, sold from four London shops and through stockists abroad. Folk is still independent.
