Patta

Edson Sabajo and Guillaume 'Gee' Schmidt opened Patta in Amsterdam in 2004, selling sneakers they had hunted down abroad; the name is Sranan Tongo, the Surinamese creole, for shoe, a nod to both founders' roots. The shop on the Zeedijk grew into a clothing label, with prized collaborations with Nike and ASICS, and its tracksuits, jerseys and graphic tees now carry Amsterdam's music and street culture around the world. A women's line, Patta Femme, followed in 2022.
