Husband-and-wife duo Saif Bakir and Emma Bakir Hedlund first met during their university years in London College of Fashion and Central Saint Martins, respectively, and went on to head rapper Kanye West's fashion venture. Working for West inspired the pair to launch their own label, which took shape as CMMN SWDN. Launched in 2012, the brand explores balance in color and shape, cleverly utilizing contrasts in prints and patterns against clean lines and sensible design. With a wide selection of shirts to outerwear and even eyewear, CMMN SWDN evokes youthful freshness and self-confidence.
