Established in New York in 1963 by Hungarian-born Judith Leiber, the house turned the evening bag into wearable sculpture — its crystal-encrusted minaudières carried by First Ladies and held by the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the V&A. Each piece is still cast in metal and hand-set with thousands of crystals by artisans over several days.
