Founded in 1790 by Henry Harris, a surgeon, and Daniel Rotley, a pharmaceutical chemist, the company began by selling perfumes of Lavender Water, Classic Cologne and English Flower at their still standing heritage store of 29 St. James' Street, and continued on to become one of the most prominent British brands in history.
