The Row

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen founded The Row in New York in 2006, naming it after Savile Row and keeping their own names off the label, and grew it from the search for a perfect T-shirt into the benchmark of quiet luxury: exacting tailoring, cashmere and austere, beautifully cut coats. Menswear arrived in 2018, bags such as the Margaux became waiting-list pieces, and in 2024 the Wertheimer family, owners of Chanel, and Françoise Bettencourt Meyers bought minority stakes that valued the company at about $1 billion.
