Fear of God Ermenegildo Zegna

2020

Both masters of their respective domains, Ermenegildo Zegna and Fear of God form a match made in menswear heaven. While the former label has a century-spanning legacy of sophisticated tailoring, the latter ascended to the top of the haute-streetwear gamut across the 2010s. The interchange of influences between creative directors Alessandro Sartori and Jerry Lorenzo bears immediate rewards, with Fear of God’s mastery of slouchy silhouettes coalescing with Zegna’s diligent textile selection and moody color palettes. A blocky Zegna logo finds itself embossed on the back of sleek leather outerwear, a stylistic cue entirely new to the Italian maison’s oeuvre but a staple of past Fear of God collections.
