What do an octopus, a traditional marine chronometer and James Cameron's 1989 film The Abyss have in common? Aside from the obvious aquatic connection, they are all, in part, the inspiration behind this MB&F 'Octopod' table clock. Limited to just 50 pieces, it's designed with Swiss specialist L'Epée as part of an ongoing collaboration between the two houses, and is made up of 309 components - not including the additional 159 that make up the hand-wound movement. The impressive L'Epée 1839-calibre engine has an 8-day power reserve and mechanical escapement that's mounted on top of the minute hand. Surrounding it is a glass cephalopod-like sphere that's fully rotational for optimal viewing, as well as eight jointed legs powered by individual buttons that allow you to adjust the height and pose. We offer a two-year warranty for all working parts and manufacturing faults for luxury watches. Call our Customer Care team for more information.
