New Balance’s Tokyo Design Studio is all about reimagining the past and discovering something new in the old. It’s immediately clear with this R-C1300, with the upper of the mid-‘80s 1300 being mated to a contemporary, somewhat chunky Vibram® sole unit. New Balance's typical refined palette remains, though. A soft fog grey is teamed with sparse hits of navy blue and of-the-era reflective details, proving that the overarching design and core principles are timeless and need little changing.
