Birkenstock have roots dating back nearly 250 years, with Johann Adam Birkenstock registering as a shoemaker in 1774. His grandson continued his legacy through two specialist footwear stores that produced contoured insoles. These days however, Birkenstock have become something of a cult brand, using nature to create footwear that enhances the foot's natural function whilst making sandals in the most environmentally friendly way possible. The Milano takes the classic Birkenstock Arizona shape, and give it an update with a more secure fit. These sandal-shoe hybrids feature two fully adjustable leather straps, alongside a back strap at the heel with galvanised buckle closure, cork footbed with textured grip and shock absorbing EVA sole.
