Founded in 2020, Vancouver-based glassblowing studio Goodbeast does away with conventional forms, offering sculptural drinkware and decor objects that reflect its experimental approach. Every decanter, cup, and vase begins as a solid slab of glass—often a piece of waste glass from another design—from which unexpected curves and clefts emerge through a combination of mouth-blowing and hand-forming techniques. For entertaining, the label's signature crushed cups pair unexpectedly with austere, beaker-shaped decanters in coordinating tinted glass, while decorative statement pieces demonstrate the label's explorations of color and texture. Sophisticated and distinct, Goodbeast's individually formed creations make for lively additions to contemporary decor.
